Alok Kumar is a 1993-batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre and currently serves as Additional Chief Secretary overseeing Infrastructure & Industrial Development, MSME & Export Promotion, and NRI Affairs. He was promoted to ACS on July 28, 2025, after holding these portfolios as Principal Secretary. He also serves as Chairman, Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA). With over three decades in public service, he has led policy reforms and institutional innovations in Uttar Pradesh and at the Centre earlier serving as Adviser (Health & Nutrition) at NITI Aayog, shaping strategies on nutrition and health systems, and holding key secretary-level roles in the UP government.
