The Bharat Project is a national movement to create 10 lakh entrepreneurs and enable 10,000 innovative, scalable startups, and its foundation lies in the grassroots efforts happening across individual states.
While the state projects (Karnataka story, Maharashtra story, etc.) capture the spirit of local innovation, governance, and progress, the Bharat project unifies these efforts into a national vision - Turning local changemakers into job creators and state-level success into a pan-India transformation.
Since 2008, YourStory has championed India’s changemakers. But belief alone isn’t enough. After two years on the ground across Bharat, one thing was clear—entrepreneurs in smaller cities need more than inspiration. They need access, mentorship, funding, and opportunity.
